Ways to Support LSO

Music Takes Community

One-time giving - From $5 to the Maestro's circle—every donation helps!

On-going Support - Become a reoccurring donor and keep the music playing!

Why Give to LSO?

Each of us has experienced the transformative power of music. Our most profound moments and rights of passage set to music. Walking down the aisle, full bands at graduations, and memories forever tied to songs that were playing. And we create music.

Ticket sales only account for 1/3 of the LSO’s annual operating expenses. Your generosity makes it possible to provide transformative music for our community.

Other Ways to Give

Every donation—no matter the amount—gives the gift of music. We have a variety of ways to give. You can support your favorite programs and choose how to be recognized..

Advertising with LSO to nearly 20k customers headline

Consider advertising in our LSO programs. These programs are in the hands of over 17,000 of Lubbock's most discerning customers annually. LSO patrons are educated, have disposable income, and represent the region's most desirable customers. It's not too late to advertise with the LSO on a per-concert basis. Symphony Guild

Lubbock Symphony Guild Debutante Program

The Symphony Deb program provides an environment for music appreciation, recognizes the value of volunteer service in promoting symphonic music, and cultivates a generation of symphony patrons.

Debs are students entering the tenth grade. Debs can apply to continue the program through their senior year. They need to reside in Lubbock County and be accessible to attend concerts and functions of the Deb program during the three year program. Program applicants who do not reside in the Lubbock County area will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the Deb Committee for acceptance into the Lubbock Symphony Guild Debutante Program.

For applications and information, email Guild President, Kendra Lansdell, at [email protected]

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are welcome and appreciated! Lubbock Symphony Orchestra volunteers work closely with the staff in the LSO office. Volunteers are an essential and integral part of our orchestra family.

Typical LSO Volunteer Tasks:

  • Giving us a hand answering phones and making calls
  • Helping photocopy and stuff envelopes for large mail-outs
  • Preparing music folders for the LSO musicians
  • Organizing music and other orchestra materials in the office
  • And other office duties as there is a need around the office

Volunteers are welcome during our office hours: Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm, and 9 am to 4 pm Fridays. If you have experience or want to learn how to do any of these tasks, please call the LSO office at 806.762.1688.
