The LSO SIDE-BY-SIDE with the top students of the Lubbock Youth Orchestras: Florence Price’s Symphony No. 1, a groundbreaking work blending lush orchestration with the rich melodies of African American spirituals. Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” follows with nostalgic themes of American folk music.

Lubbock Symphony ClefNotes PODCAST

Lubbock Symphony ClefNotes is a weekly radio program on KLZK Classical 105.7 highlighting concerts given by the LSO. The program also goes behind the scenes giving the listener a taste of how a modern symphony orchestra functions. You’ll hear interviews with individual players, LSO Board members, staff, and long time patrons of the orchestra. Lubbock Symphony ClefNotes airs on Saturdays at 10am and Sundays at 7:30pm.
